This is a close-up of the BC home during construction. Although the owner/host had only two sizes of log-end (8” fence post pieces and 3-1/2” “peeler cores” from a plywood plant), a pattern was soon found to make optimum use of the material. Various geometries - diamonds, hexagons, squares, triangles - seem to appear in the wall. See Rob's new book, Cordwood Building: The State of the Art, for more information.
