Cordwood Photo Gallery

The girders support 16’-long rafters, covered with 2” by 6” planking. Cordwood masonry fills the spaces. The large log-ends are 52” in diameter, made from a wood called “Balm of Gilead,” very much like a southern cottenwood. Each of these large log-ends weighs nearly 300 pounds.
